Default Hear MIDI without arming?

With PT11 in order for me to hear the sound associated with a particular MIDI/Instrument track I have to arm the track like I'm about to record it. In PT10 however I can just select the track without arming it and I can hear the sound playback with no problem.

Is there a new preference that I missed? I'd prefer it like it is in PT10.

I thought instead of selecting the track, it was more like whichever was the top-most midi track would be the one you'd hear if no tracks were in record and you had midi thru enabled. Try re-ordering the tracks to see if this works. A little ass-backward, I know. Really I just arm the one I want.

There is a setting in the preferences that dictates this. In 11, it seems that the default after install is off.

Do you have 'first selected MIDI track' selected in preferences?

I got it sorted out guys. Had to switch it in preferences. Never looked for it before because it always worked the other way by default in previous versions of PT.

Thanks.
