I'm not sure about the Mac but I know soundforge on the PC will save in this format. It's a telephony standard.

I've seen vox on soundforge. But what about specific request for mu-law and 8khz 8bit? I haven't seen those specific options.

BarbaBatch from AudioEase is a Mac program that will convert to Dialogic VOX:
http://www.audioease.com/Pages/Barba...SpecsMain.html

On the Tech Info page:
http://www.audioease.com/Pages/Barba...hInfoMain.html

it says:
Quote:
Dialogic telephony filetypes

The Dialogic filetypes are standards for applications through telephone lines such as voice response systems. BarbaBatch 2.2 supports four different Dialogic filetypes: Dialogic ADPCM, Dialogic a-law, Dialogic µ-law & Dialogic PCM.Only two samplerates are allowed in these filetypes: 6000 Hz and 8000 Hz.Dialogic ADPCM files are the smallest and offer the best quality of the four.
