6.1 is a Myth! Seen in many folklore books dating back to the King Arthur era. You would be better to find Excalibur in a rock than see 6.1 it seems....

Might even be lucky enough to find the pot of gold at the end of a Rainbow too. Maybe even a little green alien? or heck even win the Powerball..

That is the rumor on the street though! We shall see.... I will believe it when it happens!

The originall anouncement in April called for 6.1 to be released at the "end of the 2nd Quarter, or early 3rd Quarter." So, I would says, technically, July would qualify for "early 3rd Quarter", while August would be "Mid 3rd Quarter." So, I would be looking for July, unless they tell us differently.

Besides, it take time to give a fully functional Rewire 2 driver, a highly efficient low-latency ASIO driver and a newly-coded Beat Detective version for PTLE. [img]images/icons/grin.gif[/img] Isn't that right Digidesign? It takes time to do all THREE!! Ken, David? Three, right?

With the number of posts on the Mac forum about problems with PT6, I wouldn't be in any hurry to pay to beta test the windoze version.....

i have a high degree of confidence. remember, OSuX is basically brand new to digi. XP is (now) old hat for them. i'm not worried about any "beta-tester" commentary from the peanut gallery... [img]images/icons/grin.gif[/img]
