I am interested in purchasing an Avid Artist Control and I have seen some retailers offering the older MC Control at a significantly discounted price.
Aside from the cosmetic differences, are there any functional differences or reasons to avoid the earlier units? I am primarily concerned with future compatibility and with the fact that I am on Windows. I suspect that a firmware upgrade would make the older unit comparable to the newer ones, but I want to make sure. Thanks. |

V1 in combination with the 2.6.x version of Eucontrol seems to have MIDI problems.
Protools10 on EUCON is running fine, but neither Mackie Control nor HUI are working. I had this issue, which got solved by downgrading to 2.5.7 (firmware as well). But this is on OsX. Florian |

Thanks, folks. The units I have seen are MC Control V2. I will probably be being purchasing one of these.
