Default GCP setup question

Hey guys,

I'm new to midi and have a few question.
I only want to assign a patch to each of the 10 buttons, so no cc's.
1). I was able to rename the buttons/patches but i'm not able to connect the patches to the buttons?
So for example I want button 5 to be tied to the A1 of the 11 Rack.
How do i do this?

2). When i push on button "0" it doesn't go to a preset on the 11R.
Are there only 9 buttons to assign a patch to? I thought button "0" was able to do that too?

Kinda confused here.

Thanks alot!

Ground Control Pro can be run in two modes: 12-presets/bank, or 4 presets/bank plus 8 global IAs (FX on/off). The only places you can't assign patches are the bank up/down and the edit buttons.

I'm not being a dick by saying the manual is your friend. It's pretty straighforward though, simply tell the GCP what mode it's in (12 presets or 4 presets), the device you're communicating with, and MIDI channel it should communicate on (I think the 11R is channel 1 by default). From there, you tell the GCP what patch to call up on each button. If you bought the unit used, you my have to reset it back to factory defaults first. Again, the manual is really clear on how to do all of it...

I guess I lied - Mine is set to 4 presets/8 IAs, and I was sure the other mode was 12 presets, but it turns out it's only 10. No idea what the other two buttons are for in 10 preset mode.

Programming it is pretty easy though; just follow the manual step by step, and you'll be fine. I was reset and reprogrammed, with patches and names in less than an hour.
