Default Battery BETA expired

Another MAJOR NI failure.

This morning we boot up our studios, boot up PT to get a message that the NI Battery BETA (mind you, the Leopard fix!) has expired. A quick look at the NI site learns the launch of some new products and still no Leopard update for NI owners of Kontakt, Battery or in our case Komplete.

Why? Or as NI themselves say: Warum? Wieso?

I have to use a workaround by putting the clock back in time, launching PT and putting the clock back to normal.

I think that it's time to ask NI our money back.

Hmmmmm.....

http://www.native-instruments.com/kn...+Mac+OS+X+10.5

Seems pretty compatible to me.

I'm not having any issues and I'm running all the latest updates with Komplete 5.

RE: The BETA expiring. That I can't comment on. I'm running (I believe) the most current BETA for Battery. Not at the studio atm so can't check if it's expired.

I'd say they must be pretty close on putting out a final Battery 3 version as Komplete 6 is shipping in a month and it includes Battery 3. Highly doubt they would release a new bundle with a an out of date version of Battery.... hang on, it is NI. Never know.....

Komplete 5 is actually now PT8/Leopard compatible if you have all the latest updates - except:

Akoustic Piano (libraries load in Kontakt 3.5 anyway),

Battery (beta version working well in PT8)

Elektrik Piano (nobody uses that do they? )

Battery for Leopard is still not further than Beta (I am running 3.05.019, I'd never seen other beta's or received any emails about that), we do use Elektrik Piano a lot and Akoustic Piano I haven't tried it in a while.

And beta does not mean compatible to me, it means 'we're still testing the little bugger'.

We've been waiting for more than a YEAR on an official Battery 3 and Kontakt 3 update for Leopard.

To be clear: I am not defending Native Instruments.

I'm merely providing info to help you out.

I understood that :) But still we'll be checking out BFD to start replacing Battery in the future.
