What a world of difference between users here

Runs great as the last 5-6 versions have done on our two 7.1 macs with Catalina and one of the trashcan 12 core with Mojave.

No issues on large sessions with many VI (not many plugins as we run outboards) and definitly no lag and have not seen that ever to be honest. We have 2 49” ACER Curve monitors and two 24” curved ones on stands to the side of the 49” and works super.

Sorry to see Rectifried having that lag issue but seems like thats only with 1 or maybe 2 people here so has to be a hardware thing for sure. Not a PT Issue.

Yes. I'd love to hear from some Windows users. 2021.6 has been working fantastic here, so I'm hesitant to mess with it.

Yep, Running Solid here after the 2021.6 update and video fixes. Had one small issue with a video that was H.264 for some odd reason. I think it was just a wrong encode error by client. I just re-rendered it in ProRes422, which is all I use now.

Not sure if this will help, but I was VERY weary of going to Catalina 10.15.7, but after speaking to Avid Senior Product specialist Jeff Komar with my Atmos system install, I went for it and so glad I did. It has been rock solid here with a lot of large mixing and scoring projects. No issues other than that Movie Bounce thing that 2021.6 had, but when that was fixed with 2021.6.1 totally solved the problem with selecting a section of picture and bouncing, which would crash my whole system. 2021.7 seems fine so far. Been on Catalina since like March I think and been pretty busy. Prior to that I had stay on Sierra for a while before Mojave, which I ran for about at least a year or more. Never did High Sierra.

Latest Catalina is rock solid and performs as good as Sierra. HS and Mojave have been bad apples.

I will certainly give catalina a go when I get a spare day to image and upgrade. Had a massive session couple of weeks ago where 64 IO would have been ace but the amount of beach balling meant I couldn't have tracked, marked, edited, punched fast enough with so many people on the clock otherwise.

Just installed PT 2021.7.0. Seems to work as well 2021.6.0!

MBP 2020 Big Sur PT2021.7 UAD Arrow all seems ok. I was mixing for a few hrs without any issues.
