Artist Series Knobs controller

I am sure somebody else must have thought or written about this:

Why doesn't Avid produce a knobs-only, Artist-style, EuCon surface??? Such an addition would finally make a workable Artist system with the Artist Mix/ Control in a bottom row and units likes this on the top. It would be like a poor man's S6 and add some of the functionality that the D-Control currently offers in the smaller-scale studio. If the whole Artist Series was revamped with the looks of the S3 controller (and the fader meters) that would be even better!

Sounds good, but I would rather they first make the knobs that are already on the Artist series work better. Highly inaccurrate movements.

Yeah, I agree, heck even a firmware update that addresses the controller knobs would be great and feasible.

Are they seriously not working properly??? That's truly a shame! Another under-developed, over-priced (at least the Artist Mix is, in my humble opinion) product from Avid then.

I am not an Artist Series owner but I am in the market for a new controller. Looking at all the options out there, and with the arrival of the S6, it only made sense to suggest an Artist alternative.

I doubt it I would be able to afford a basic S6 M10 but I would happily part with my cash for an Artist Control, an Artist Mix and a couple of Artist "Knob" - if they existed - today. Of course that would be with knobs that would accurately work, if the consensus from Artist users is that they are mot the functional.

Has anyone here used the S3 by any chance? I am wondering how this feels like.
