Need Help with Drum Programming
I have a E-mu E6400 Sampler which is hooked to the mac which also runs pro tools 5.1 tdm. I want to have drum patterns / sequences in my E6400 synced to pro tools much like i have in the past useing an akai mpc 2000xl. I would appreciate anyone who can advise me on how to go about this. Basically i need to know how to load sequences into the drum pattern / sequences into the E6400 so that it can be synced to pro tools 5.1 via midi clock and thus my midi files / drums are handled by the E6400 and audio via pro tools. I know that with the Akai i had sequences / patterns that would sync with pro tools and follow the bpm i had set in pro tools, any advice help so that i can do this with the E6400 would be much appreciatted. Thanks to anyone who can help.

Re: Need Help with Drum Programming
If you want PT to be the master in your set-up, the easiest way I know of to do this is to create a midi file of your sequence and import that into PT. As long as your other midi devices have the correct sounds loaded, it should all play back fine.
Hope this helps. |
