you're right, i also forgot to mention, if you get a new mac thats running on s.l. remember to migrate pro-tools over, its the one way i have found to make protools run without a hitch do not reinstall it

That example is an ATA drive. I bought a Seagate 7200RPM 500GB SATA with that same case for around $170. Look around on the site. You can buy a bare drive and the empty case and do-it-yourself.

Thanks Eric, I got two brand new drivers but they are PATA IDE, I would like to step up to ata for better performance, San Diego huh, lucky you, I go there deep sea fishing twice a year on Point Loma.
