Default how to turn on punch offset

I have looked through most of the tabs in pro tools and cant find out how to turn it back on. its the green flag basically that starts the song a couple seconds before punching you in

You're looking for pre-roll. Hit Command-K, or click on it in the transport window. You can adjust the desired time in the transport window.

yeah tha works pretty well but what that does is play how ever many bars of clicks you specify before recording...with the feature im looking for the song will play from where i designate and then punch in and record at the other place i designate when the timer gets there.

best way I know is to "Apple / Option / click" in the track where you would like the pre-roll to start, ie say 4 bars, or wherever looks a good place; no need to determine bars/beats etc, just click wherever suits. If you have selected a drop-in point with the "Marker" selection, then you should get the pre-roll, and will drop into record at the "selection" marker.

Does that make sense ??
