Thanks. Please post a picture of the Bus tab. My guess is the ADAT outputs are not properly assigned.

-Ensure Clarity is configured to receive S/PDIF input

Cllarity only have Drive or usb and under drive it says optical as seen in the pictures. I thought we could use the optical ports on carbon now with the new firmware to send optical and or adat.

From the image you sent, the Clarity appears to be locked to Optical being fed by Carbon. So, that's great. The issue now seems to be that you don't have busses mapped in I/O Setup properly. Once you fix that, Pro Tools will route Optical S/PDIF signal via ADAT 1: 1-2 over to the Clarity. And, hopefully it's properly received so you see metering activity.

Every bus in that screenshot, except MON L-R, is not mapped to a hardware output. If that's the case for all the other paths (hidden in the screenshot) then this is why you aren't getting digital output from Carbon. This session has a lot of extra paths that aren't relevant to Carbon. I need to see pictures or video of the entire I/O Setup > Bus tab showing every path. So, you'll need to scroll so I can see all of the mappings. It looks like you just don't have things mapped correctly yet.

We only use the Dsub 8 in 8 out. Not the preamps etc. And those 8 goes to 2 x Flock audio PATCH 32/32 and we have to so we use the ins and outs when we need to make a vocal chain or any chain as we have over 70 high end outboards so is there any easier way like it is on our Apollo X 8P units? We just do a delete all paths and default them again on in/out/bus?

If not what video do you need me to film? As i said this is NOT my thing and both carbons act the same (10.000 dollars) and cant get a optical port to send as easy as the X series which are much less $.

What do i need to do exactly? 6 days and still nothing! Thanks BTW
