Can you help me choose what Type of RAM???

Hello all,
I'm looking to upgrade my RAM.

I found some compatible sticks but there's one discrepancy:
One has ERROR CORRECTION CONTROL (ECC) and one doesn't.
My friend who's helping me said he hasn't noticed the difference for his gaming (non music) uses.

***Does it make a difference with protools?
The Non ECC is $22 dollars cheaper per stick!!!

Your best bet is to write down the model of the motherboard and visit the manufacturer website for a list of compatible RAM.

I found a listing of 14 specific sticks of ram to
buy that will work. All I'm asking is, what's the difference between the one little spec? Both will work but does error correction make a difference? There's a $22 price diff!
