Default standalone driver problem with digi 002 rack

Hi there, I'm using digi 002 with mac book core 2 duo 2.0 with 2gb ram. I installed standalone driver version 7.3 and is not working properly. In core audio manager I see digi working properly, when I open logic pro 7.2 digi normally starts, but I couldn't hear any sound from it. Also in mac and logic preferences I only see built-in audio card. Do I have to turn built-in card of? I'm using digi 002 for quite some time now, but with G5 (one before intel series) and it works fine (also just standalone driver). I'm abroad right now and have only mac book with me, so I need to work with this setup. Thanks for help.

regards, mirok

Hi Digidesign, I've just realised that my version of mac osx seems to be the problem, but since 10.4.10. is out from June 20th, you should provide update for us! I need to work with my hardware synths and I can't because of malfunctioning hardware.

The 7.3 Core Audio driver should work fine with 10.4.10.

It's not clear from your post what, exactly, is happening. You say you can launch the Core Audio Manager and it shows connected, yes? Are you keeping it launched, then launching Logic?

hi there, thanks for your reply...when I launch logic, everything seems to be fine, but I can't see digi in logic preferences nor in mac preferences although midi works fine and if I route built in card output with digi alt input I also can hear a sound, so the card works fine, just drivers don't. When I launch core audio manager (it doesn't show manager in dock when logic is launched) it shows card is connected, but when I press disconnect the card and launch manager again, the card is still connected. What seems to be the problem?

Kind regards, Mirok

Please start with the steps in the OS X Setup and General Troubleshooting sticky at the top of this forum, specifically those areas on trashing preferences, including the file 'com.digidesign.coreaudiomanager.plist'.

Also, can you tell me the version of the Core Audio driver you have installed? Go to MacHD>Library>Audio>Plug-Ins>HAL and Get Info on the Digidesign Core Audio driver to see the version number.

Do you also have Pro Tools installed and, if so, which version?

I have had a similar problem with the 7.3 CoreAudio driver.
I was attempting to use the 002 with DP on 10.4.9 and
the Digidesign Hardware option does not appear in the Audio Set up
prefernce pane OR the MOTU hardware config. MOTU says it should work.
