ilok2 issue

I upgraded to Protools 10.3.1 and my new ilok2 just started blinking and I cannot open Protools anymore. I have searched the internet and found that there is a problem with those iloks. I was forced to return to Logic to continue making my music. Protools is a very good product but this ilok issue could be a nail in it's coffin. That's my 0.2 cents.

Mine shots down all the time and you have to remove and put it back and it works again - totally annoying!!!

I've run PT since the 90ths and iLok since they came out, never experienced anything like this before. Is this some kind of software issue?

This is a very serious issue. It seems to have reached epidemic proportions.
Those new iloks appears to be seriously flawed. Avid has to take note. One can do without some plugins that requires the ilok but Protools is a MAJOR
sequencer and should not be held to ransom. I have Logic Pro 9, Sonar X1 and Proptools 10.3. Imagine I chose to go deeper into Protools doing all the
Macprovideo tutotials and then this happens. All my projects are at a standstill. I am not paying for any ZDT. I don't trust those iloks.:eek :

Mine just shot down without warning in the presence of a client. He asked me if I had Logic and why I am not using it?

Maybe you know this, but if your ports are USB3 ilok2 is not compatable. This is the only thing I can think of. I have ilok 2 and protools 10.3.1 running on HP latop and an Alienware Aurora 3 with no problems so far......

ilok 2 and 1 are fully compatible with usb3 ports, at least on my mac.
no problem here.
