2024.6 Timing Out Error

Been experiencing a ton of Pro Tools Timed Out errors since upgrading to 2024.6. A lot more playback errors in general since the update but this one has been most frequent. I always have to force-quit the app then re-open it. Sometimes I'll have to re-select my playback engine upon reopening, sometimes not. Anyone else getting these now?

Also, the same time out issue on my laptop with 2024.6. I'm gonna need to downgrade but I'm not having this issue oddly on my Mac Mini 2020, same OS and interface.

I tried to roll back to .3 but PT wouldn't boot up at all. It gave some sort of .dll error. I re-installed .6 and updated Universal Control and it worked for awhile then the Timed out error issue came back. Should have never updated it. PT worked great until I did. If I can't figure this issue out, I may be forced to learn a new DAW and give up PT.

What is the *exact* error message including any AAE error number.

What interface and driver... is it an ASIO driver? Not ASIO4ALL? And is your Windows sound set to a different audio device?, what are all the playback settings. What standard troubleshooting have you tried (start at "Help us Help you" up the top of each DUC web page).

You tried to roll back how? recovery from a backup? installing .3 over the top of .6? Did you uninstall .6 first (do that on Windows), etc. Nobody here can guess what you exactly are doing. You will likely get more useful help if you provide more clear details.

I finally got it to reinstall 12.3. Had to uninstall 12.6, reboot, then reinstall 12.3. Everything is now working like normal. 12.6 is just not happy with my machine.
I am using Presonus Quantum ASIO drivers.

I also have been having a lot of errors and crashes. The crash reporting seems to only report Avid plugins.

This is happening to me as well on 2024.6.(time outs and slow open and closing of ProTools) Noting like it before, and only since I have been back from my hols!
