You can do all that with Davinci. And you don't have do buy Ultimate just for video. Pro Tools Studio will also give you the option to add a video track. But it's just one video track, not 64.

I have two perpetual Ultimate licences that I have been renewing for many years now. I'll only renew one of them this year and into the future, unless something compelling comes along that I'll need two up to date systems for.

This is exactly why I prefer perpetual; at least my assistant can still work with sessions without the support plan.

I need to renew both my Ultimate and Studio Licenses. Going to be $700 for the two.

Maybe it's time to finally make the switch to Pyramix or Sequoia.

my reasons for abandoning PT subscription in 2024

-complete lack of any recent HDX plugin development by Avid

-PT2023/2024 boots like a snail only leveraging 3% CPU w/ Mac Pro 16core

-Midi CC mapping to mixer and plugins = poor to non existent = Eucon sales

-removal of M-Audio driver = no Mulligan = Eucon sales

-Midi Patch presets haven’t been updated since Opcode OMS in the 90s

-No Patch name editor = we can solve this problem ourselves

-No Midi CC mapping, error message every time.
Example; ProTools midi in 2024 has no idea what to do with Brand new Sequential Synths

Avid you now want $100 more a year.
but you gave us a PT2024 that is a down grade to PT2023 for Midi centric Users

I get mine there as well, but they used to do a much better deal (I know it should be a 100 more now, but it’s more like 200 more).
