Default Licensing plugins - how to rescan

Hello all,

I had a few plugins that I did not have licenses for, and when starting up pro tools I checked the box telling pt not to look for these plugins anymore. As such they don’t show up in the list of available plugins.

The plugins are installed and are visible in the plugins folder. How can I get pt to rescan these/load them when starting?

Thanks

They were moved by Pro Tools from the plugins folder /Library/Applications Support/Avid/Audio/Plug-Ins to the "unused" folder /Library/Applications Support/Avid/Audio/Plug-Ins (Unused).

You can just manually move those .aaxplugin bundles back to the Plug-Ins directory and start Pro Tools.

Thanks Darryl. I checked and the plugins I’m looking for are in the plugin folder. The unused plugin folder is empty which is surprising me.

You can try deleting the cache file for the plugin. Cache files are located in ‘ Users/Shared/Pro Tools/AAXPlugInCache’ and each plugin will have its own file. Delete the ones for the plugins you need rescanned, then start Pro Tools.
