2024.6 Timing Out Error

I am also getting "Pro Tools timed out trying to stop".
Pro Tools version 2024.6 is now unusable.

I don't see 2024.3 on avid.com.
Is there a HowTo and access for uninstalling the current version and installing a previous version?

I was getting a lot of "Pro Tools timed out trying to stop".
Reverting to HD/PT 2024.3 fixed it for me.
Basic process:
1) find 2024.3 downloads @ avid.com (not easy)
2) install HD 2024.3 then reboot
3) Remove Pro Tools from Applications - empty trash
4) Install PT 2024.3

Reverting from 2024.6 to 2024.3 eliminated the "timed out when trying to stop" problem. Do we know whether 2024.10 has addressed this issue? Short of installing it?

Yeah I'd love to know if if 2024.10 fixed this issue before upgrading...

Hi there

i've had the same problem with 2024.6 and opened a case already a few weeks ago - the issue had then been acknowledged by Avid.

I'm on 2024.10 now and this seems fine - no "Pro Tools timed out trying to stop"-messages any more even with low buffer sizes

2024.10 runs generally much more stable than 2024.6 in my case :)

Seems fine to me on 2024.10 as well, not sure if there was a specific fix, or just a pseudo resintall when updating
