Re: MIDI DRUMS/BASS. how to eq, reverb, delay etc.
Check out the section Mix and Change your sounds in the Intro to Pro Tools guide. Also check out the free tutorial videos at www.digidesign.com/dtv; go to the Introduction to Pro Tools channel. The video on Mixing, EQ, and bussing shows how to setup and use insert and send FX.
Yes, you can add effects and processing to software instrument tracks. |

Yep there are a ton of videos on this that will help you more than us typing a bunch of abbreviated clues.

Re: MIDI DRUMS/BASS. how to eq, reverb, delay etc.
im not sure if this is CORRECT. but it worked somewhat well for me.
not knowing yet how to EQ AND EFFECT MIDI. i just pencil edited in my MIDI DRUM AND BASS TRACKS. then BOUNCED them to disk as MONO RIGHT AND LEFT. then IMPORTED those 2 tracks into new AUDIO TRACKS synched with my original MIDI d&b tracks. then i can use AUDIO EQ & EFFECTS to fatten up the audio drum and bass and mix them into the MIDI. |

Re: MIDI DRUMS/BASS. how to eq, reverb, delay etc.
Your MIDI data should be recorded on an instrument track; the instrument track that the software instrument is inserted on. You can add audio effects and plug-ins after the instrument plug-in, and you can also setup sends from the instrument track. This is quicker, easier, and you've got the freedom to edit the MIDI data at anytime.
