Artist Mix Setting this up is killing me!!!

can someone please please help me!!!!

I've tried DHCP, manual setting and all sorts of hopeful key combinations with no luck whatsoever!!

I just want to connect to my artist mix with a mac pro on ethernet port 1.

If i try DHCP nothing seems to happen (although i can get the e icon to light up) and it shows in eucontrol settings that the device is found, although it always brings ups message saying ip address not set up correctly or something..

Either way it seems i can get the unit to be found by Eucon but not by pro tools..

using 10.9.3 and HD 11.1.3.. EuCon 3.1.2


Can anyone please walk me through this i am going insane literally by the second..

For NO reason I can understand 3.1.2 is still available for download -
It is non functional

Uninstall and load 3.1.0 instead - disable app nap too

Like propower said try 3.1.

For me Transport/Mix work fine if I wait long enough until I start PT. If I manually start EuControl after OSX log in, Transport/Mix are acting normally but PT doesn't see them. If I wait until EuControl starts by itself the PT will also connect correctly. Fast workaround is log out (OSX user) and log back right after first attempt. I'm using DHCP.

This is what happens if I try to launch PT too quickly. But I don't get any error messages.

Try a stop/start in System Preferences > EUCON and then try PT again.

Or you can try trashing both EuControl and PT prefs. Reboot and try again.

I always have to Stop then Start EuCon from the pref panel at the beginning of the day. No idea why but that's' what works...

It's a mess... Eucon 3.0 is by far the worst software ever by AVID... Just sold my mc mixes...

Me too, mate. 3.1.2 NOT working in Pro Tools. EuCon works fine on the desktop, does not work in PT11. Let me know if 3.1 solves the problem. Also really disappointed in video engine, PT11 seems to be a downgrade as opposed to upgrade for those of us who work with picture.

Are you running a mac or a PC?

Here's my recent experience with Pro Tools HD 11.1.3, Mac OSX 10.8.5, HDX1 on a "dedicated to music only" MacPro 4,1:

I was ready to get 3 Mix Controls in addition to my newly received MC Control, but decided to see how The MC Control worked first.

I'm so glad I did...

I tried 3.01 and 3.12 and both were HORRIBLE.

For no rhyme or reason they would not work when launching Pro Tools or Logic. Half the time they did, the other time they half worked. The faders would not respond, but the transport controls did. Most of the time it would just sit there dead. Extremely frustrating and left 0% confidence in the product.

Who has time to mess with this?

I know what I'm doing (Troubleshooted for 8 hours trying all the known fixes on the web) and it is just bad, bad implementation. Great idea if it actually worked.

So back it went and now I'm looking at a D-Command. Although recently discontinued, they are bulletproof. No wondering if it will work when launching Pro Tools.

Hope this helps anyone considering this product.
