Is the 8030a or 8040a Genelec midrange level nearfield? What is a good price to get these at? What rms are they?

WHAT about the 2029B's? what rms are they? Are these lower end series better still better than the bx8a's ??? What is a fair price to buy these?

genelec rules!
i dont know if they are midrange price i recon they are awesome price for value tho!

the RRP in some shops can be huge tho so u goto go into the shop where you live and talk to the doods to get a good price

also genelec got awesome phone support you can call em up and get realy good advice on what moniter to choose

well im in australia so im not sure what its like where you are

i havent worked out exact what models to get yet
i might get 8030A across the front
but im prob just getting the 5.1 8020A LCR + rearLR + 8050B sub

Genelec

8020: 95dB
8030: 108dB
8040: 115dB
8050: 120dB

Personally, I would recommend against 8040 -- if you need more than 8030 has to offer, you'll do yourself a favor by buying 8050's instead. In my opinion 8040 is not that much better than 8030, but it still carries significantly higher price. Even 8020's are good enough for many.

I paid 2500 euros for a pair of 8050's in august 2004 and that has been one of the best investments I've ever made.

I have the 8020.
Great for portability (laptop/monitor/xstation25/mbox2 )

However the 8030 has better mid-range focus as they're bigger.

It seems like NIN is using them on the road from the pictures (but who knows) and they actually seems to give very nice picture...
