Help with connecting USB Keyboard
I recently upgraded from a Mac G5 2.5 with PT 7.4LE to a new PC with PT12 and need some help connecting a keyboard with USB.
If I open a session, then connect a Keyboard to a usb port the keyboard is not recognized. The PC makes a sound that it connected, but nothing. If I restart the PC with the keyboard connected, the keyboard works. I don't want to have to restart the computer every time I connect the keyboard during a session. Is there a setting or something that I'm missing? Any info would be appreciated..Thanks |

Re: Help with connecting USB Keyboard
I’m wondering why you wait to connect the keyboard until the session is open?
Why not leave it connected so your computer recognizes it when you boot? That might solve the problem. |

Re: Help with connecting USB Keyboard
Yes, leave it connected. Windows has a habit of "losing" the driver when you unplug. Also if you plug into a different port.
