How do I add time/measures beginning of session?

Please help, I know this is a simple question for all you pros but I've tried everything and can't figure it out. I need to add time to the beggining of my session for a longer intro before the song starts. I suppose I could use grid mode, grab each track and move them all forward 8 measures one at a time, but there's got to be a better way right? Thankyou!

in PT7+ up top click on Event>time>insert time

or, like you thought, double click in the ruler to select all and drag it over 8 bars. that's how I normally do it if it's at the start of the song.
