PT 8.0.3 freezes on startup on Windows 7

I just installed PT on my windows 7 - 32 bit system and have been unsuccessful in getting it to run. It just freezes as soon as I try to start it up. I installed version 8.0 first, then 8.0.1 then 8.0.3 then the 8.04 audio driver. I've followed all the proper steps, but I still can't get it to run, does anyone have any advice or tips that can help.

I've uninstalled and reinstalled PT at least 30 times, I've tried running it as Administrator. I've tried installing without plugging in the Mbox2 on install, I've tried it with plugging in the Mbox2 on install, I've tried 8.0 by itself, I've tried 8.0.1 by itself, I've tried 8.0.3 by itself, I've tried it with 8.0.4 drivers. There isn't anything I haven't tried yet besides throwing my PC out the window. I get the same results every single time, PT just freezes with I click to open it, I don't get any error message, I don't get a dialog box, I don't get anything but a spinning curser and a frozen program. I really need my PT up again, I have sessions I need to do and I can't do anything at this point. I've spent the last 2 days straight on this non-stop. Please, does anyone have any tips to get PT to run.

Hi Eric!! Did you have PT's working on this PC with XP or Vista, prior to a W7 upgrade? Or is this a new PC that came with W7?? Either way the best results here on the DUC will be achieved with this prob, by posting a SANDRA report! Eric, remember as has been said in many threads already,,,, the W7 drivers are not any where near being ready for everyday use, and are in a testing mode. You might do better to go back to what you know works until they have all bugs ironed out, I'm staying with XP until I see a higher percentage of success!!!!

Thanks Eric,,, I would think that if you were using this PC for 7.4, Vista,, that it should work with W7,,,,,? But,,, I only see 1 hard drive, is there no seperate drive for audio??? (Which is a must for good results with any DAW!!) Also your RAM is quite slow, 666? Is that correct? It could be that this PC's limit with PT's is 7.4,,, I'm not sure how much more RAM or CPU is needed? Maybe someone (like Benoni) will let you know!

I actually have 2GB of RAM. OMG, I haven't slept in 2 days trying to get get this to work. I am willing to pay someone to fix this problem, I need my PT back up ASAP.

lookin' at your specs i 'think' PT8 might be too much of a load to run successfully on your system. whole lotta difference in 7.4 and 8.0.3 when it comes system load. i would suggest goin' back to your previous workin' setup.

I'm positive the system isn't the problem, its a brand new computer and it meets all of the required specs. Everything installs like its gonna work, but when I click to open PT once the install is complete, it just freezes immediately. It doesn't even load anything, it doesn't even give me an error message, it just freezes.
