Default transferring sessions between pc and mac

recently upgraded from digi001 to digi002 rack, and changed systems from pc (windows 98) to Mac (0SX Tiger). Am currently unable to tranfer sessions between the two, though was assured there would be no problems transferring between PC and Mac; keep getting "logical-end-of-file (-39)" response when trying to read the sessions from a burnt cd-rw disk.

Is there anything special I need to do with the sessions before I transfer them or should I expect not to be able to transfer them at all?
Thanks.

philywily,
Welcome to the DUC..
If you are running PT7 on both platforms, the session files themselves should be compatible. If using lower versions on either systems the "enforce Mac/PC compatibility " must be checked when saving the sessions.
Also..if your xfer medium is CDR, it should be in Hybrid/ISO format.
And just to try..burn a regular CDR (not -RW) and close the disk !

happy tooling,

Default Re: transferring sessions between pc and mac

I'm running PT70LE and just switched from PC to Mac (G5). I connected the 2 computers (actually installed my sessions drive in a "known to be functioning PC" via an ethernet hub and set the PC for file sharing. I then connected the Mac to the PC through the "network" and copied (drag and drop) my sessions (which were also 6.7, not 7.0). (and it was lot faster than burning CD's)

I've opened several, played with the settings, and bounced to disk with no problems. Everything seems to work, and my only issues are my MP3 option and whether the plug-ins from 6.7 (Sample TankSE, Amplitude, and TRack) will work with 7.0?

If your PC still functions, perhaps copying directly keeps the files in the same relative space(?)
