If it is 100% genuine leather, then in traditional meaning it is lederhosen. The lederhosen we know now are the short panties you see on Oktoberfest.

Hosen = pants

Leder means =leather
Hosen means =pants (just pants ,,,---short , long, or Jim Morrison Riding the Storm style )
