...also, if anyone is in the Lower Mainland(Vancouver, Canada) area that has a UAD-1 or Powercore then get in touch with me. We can test these out and see if we can get them going without any problems on the Quads.

A few have inquired about those cards that they have and still want to use.

I wont have the Maudio stuff to test out. I'll probably have to end up buying it and then returning it just to test it out unless I can find an Maudio rep in my area. I'll see what I can do.

Will this system work for a quad? I am no computer genius whatsoever, so any advice would be appreciated.

First of all thanks for sharing this invaluable information to us.

Before I take the "plunge" I'd like to ask all of you that already have access to a Quad - if the source of the somewhat huge difference in processing power between the different setups have been identified?

It do seem strange that there could be such a difference using M-Audio or DigiDesign hardware.
I am currently on 002, Mbox and 001 but wouldn't mind taking an additional route for some purposes if I knew this was a fact.

Thanks,
// Joakim W

You'll need two. One for each CPU.

Not good. You're bringing it over to my studio so we got this covered.

Good. That's dirt cheap for Canadian bucks.

We'll try it. Make sure we can take it back if needed.

Since I got and idea of your budget, let's try your system with an ATA setup.

Should be ok.

We'll make a few changes first.
