Default Attn: DigiTechSupport - Control 24 Monitor Section Problem

So I ha this problem before, opened my board and cleaned all power connections (& Ribbons on Monitor board) and everything was fine fo 2 months.

I'll try to be quick with the history:

Had it in a finished basement of a hous for months with no problem.
Moved it into my new commercial studio space downtown Minneapolis.
(Note: The studio is dry, and there is fair static electricity in it)
None of my other outboard gear acts up (I have a bunch)

2 months ago, and yesterday, in the middle of playback there is an immdiate LOUD hum and my speakers draw all the way back into their cabinets. Audio is inaudible. Just loud hum.

So, I can either turn off my monitor amp, or cycle the ALT button and it goes away
(I'm using ALT most the time wile recording so this doesn't happen and kill my NS10's on the main channels.)

Do you think the cleaning and reseating of the connections was the solution? Or the problem is just that intermittent?

I should bring up the static again.

I've been working with my shoes off as it seems to allow me to touch things without sparking.
Yesterday (And 2 months ago) when it happened, I had my shoes on.

Did it once when I touched and adjusted volume, and did it again when the vocalist touched and sparked on the mic stand.

Static issue?

Is this a possible flaw in the monitor board? Or the board that hasd the monitor section controls on it?

Can you email me costs and part numbers on both of those parts?
[email protected]

I'm at the point I'm just gonna start buying parts and trying them.

I don't know what to do. There has to be a reason for this.

How much is it if I send in the monitor board for inspection/repair/replacement?

What are my options?

Please help, I just got a BIG contract and don't want any problems while they're n.... Don't want to lose them. PLEASE!

Thanx
