Uggh...how many analog distortion or amp simulators or 1 band EQs does one need? I've pretty much given up on free plugins with the exception of a select few that do something cool, like iZotope Vinyl.

I tend to agree. I've tried to downsize my plugin selection so I can find my go-to plugs more easily.

There's bound to be many plugins not that worthwhile. However, I can see this being a treasure trove for newcomers and might reduce the urge for many to feel they have to pirate plugins... Possibly
