Default File extensions GONE!! McMasters, are you there?

Hey guys,

I usually stick to the PTLE forum for Windows (I know...boo, hiss) but seeing as this problem originated on a Mac TDM system, thought maybe you could help.

I did some sessions at a studio years ago that was running TDM and when I left, I left with a backup DVD with all the files on it.

Recently I went back to actually finish the project (imagine that, actually finishing a pro bono project for a family member!) and found out that however the session was backed up, it stripped the file extensions on the audio files!
I was able to open the session fine in PTLE on my PC, but none of the audio files could be found because they weren't recognized as audio files because they now have no file extension.

I tried renaming them with .wav, didn't work.
I tried renaming them with .aif, didn't work.

Any more suggestions?

McMasters, it was your studio, could it perhaps have been the backup software you used?

Thanks!

Ben

Try openning the session fron the cd with PT 6.7 or above with mac drive installed selecting the disk as a mac disk.
Peace,
Brandon
