Default Hardware setup

Monterey 12.4 - PT 12

My hardware setup won't recognize my protools duet interface like it always has? My Apogee says "waiting for device" - it will only let me select built in microphone? I am at a standstill

Help me Obi Wan

Pro Tools 12 on Monterey is way outside any supported configuration. What changed? Did you just upgrade macOS?

Know the compatibility matrix should you.

Know device driver comparability should you as well.

I find your use of these unsupported configurations not logical.

Default Hardware setup

Would this have anything to do with the privacy setting that blocks access to the hardware I/O until explicitly granted?

Sure that's could be an issue, if everything else was close to working. And for this to cause a problem it would require a new driver install and/or a new OS install (otherwise permissions are grandfathered in). Which might be what happened. But that does not get around that this is way the heck outside a supported configuration. And if so much changed recently, are we dealing now with an Apple silicon Mac? (which drivers would not install on, but who knows if that was tried if that was tried).

We are not getting the full story, starting with a lack of any info about hat mac this is on and what exactly changed? Why? Ceti eel lava at the ready.
