FS: Old Serial # to upgrade to PT11 for $200

Howdy -

Customer service just told me that I have another upgrade path existing on my account. In other words I'd bought two Pre- PT9 products. (Mbox2 Mini and standard PT LE license). The Mbox2 license is still active.

I used my LE license to get into Pro Tools 11. I have the Mbox serial number which might be useful for someone who wanted to get into PT 11 for $200.

You'll have to get one of the last upgrade packages at Guitar Center or elsewhere.

The Avid customer service guy even emailed me the serial number for my old Mbox2 Micro, and was essentially encouraging me to make use of it, probably because they always want new users.

I'm not sure what this is worth, I'm open to offers if anyone wants to get into PT11 for cheap. I think this is probably gonna be a good deal for all.

I'm not sure how this would work. You had an LE with MBox and used the LE software to upgrade to PT 11. How is the serial number from the MBox considered up-gradable through the upgrade offer? All I see is that if I have an LE license I can use that to upgrade, but nothing about an MBox.

i sent over a few #'s this morning to see which one is still eligble for upgrade ... i have purchased 3 PTLE systems over the years ... if my #'s all fall short of an upgrade I will hit you up ... hope to know soon .. john

As it always has the upgrade from LE uses the hardware (MBox) serial number, if it has not been used before for this upgrade you can use it once. However to really qualify you should be selling the hardware to a purchaser, ...
