Using a footswitch with the 003 Rack
Hello,
When I do my drum covers, I usually have my sustain pedal plugged into the back of my 003 (in the footswitch jack) to start/stop recording. That was with PT8 LE back in the day. However, since I've upgraded to PT10, it doesn't seem to work anymore. Any ideas as to why? Maybe the new software doesn't allow it? Thanks. -Justin

Double-check Preferences. Now you have an option to use the switch to start/stop, OR punch in/out. Maybe its set to start/stop?

That didn't work either, but I'm thinking, I have Mountain Lion, now upgraded to Mavericks...

I just went with the flow. But I did however, follow your previous instructions and downloaded the latest driver for my 003. Switched my playback engine to "003" instead of "avid 003" rack, and the footswitch option came up!!
