001 & Mackie DB8 or HUI...

Hi guys -
Is anyone using the DB8 with 001? I saw the DB8 in action and it is seems to be quite the beast. Can 001 automation be controlled from the DB8? Any reviews/comments?
Is the HUI same as the MotorMix?
