Me too.

I've found the occasional kernel panic occurs when my Mbox 2 is plugged in (USB) and then I quit iTunes.

Regards all.

Eco.

I have this problem on my iMac at home and to a lesser extent on my Mac Pro at work. I bring the MBOX back and forth to work on projects and it's super frustrating. I even just had the box repaired for a separate issue. I was hoping that it would also fix the Kernel Panic issue. Literally every time I shut down the machine I get a Kernel Panic now and it looks like all the rest. Super annoying. 1/2 the time when I plug it in I get some rhythmic beeping on the record track. At work I get pinned static instead. It's been a really terrible experience. I've lost countless session times when I was going to record and could not get it to work reliably and just had to give up and wait until the next day to go to work and use Garageband and hope that I could make it sound as good. Which is not easy.

OS 10.6 was announced on June 9, 2008 and released on August 28, 2009. We're getting really close to a year with no real fixes. Everyone I talk to about my problems tells me that Digidesign is terrible at updating their products in a timely manner. So far they've been right.

Computer info: iMac 20" White intel, 4gb RAM, PT LE 803, all projects on an external.

8.0.4 includes a fix for this - you should update!
