Pro Tools 12.7 separate clip?

Pro Tools 12.7 separate clip? I'M trying to separate a clip so I can Cut and Paste in another spot and in Pro Tools right click Separate in the dropdown is Grayed out and doesn't work. Is there now some special way I need to work to separate a clip? Thank you

Nope, you might have to check if your track is frozen, committed or locked in some other way, also, try the key command for that which is B

Key Command worked... I have a Pro Tools Key Command Keyboard and didn't even think about that? But Thank you..

PS: The Track wasn't frozen, committed or locked in anyway. I keep getting a couple of "AAE 6 Errors" on some old sessions, I think I might uninstall and reinstall Pro Tools and see what happens.

I never understood why they removed the right-click option... Makes no sense...

So I upgraded recently to 12.7 (run Mac OS 10.12.3) and have the same issue. Right click and Separate is greyed out of the drop down.

Has there ever been a definitive answer to this issue?

Bummed... that it's really messing with my work flow.

You do realise that you can select an area and copy/paste without having to cut the Clip? 99% of us use the B short cut and the other 00.5% use Ctrl-E. If it's been removed from the drop down menu it's because it's of little use to most users.

I am talking about RIGHT CLICK on a WAVE FORM.... SEPARATE is still there, but greyed out.

I know the keyboard short cuts and the drop down MENU BAR options. But this is the menu the appears when you RIGHT CLICK on a WAVE FORM.
