Default Batch-copy region-names to BWAV meta-data?

Hi,

does someone know of a way to copy region-names into the meta-data of BWAVs?
I´m looking for a way to inject scene/take info into their media-files if the location mixer hasn´t entered these on set.
When the assistant editor enters these in the AVID this info only shows up in the region name via AAF/OMF.
Since the project browser is such a PITA to work with I´m looking for a way to use something like soundminer to search through out-takes. To make this work I need the scene/take info in the meta-data.

A very old version of SM was able to read session-files directly but this feature does not exist anymore because Digi doesn´t really want 3rd party apps to decode session files I guess.

So I´m looking for a work-around for this.

Thanks,

Frank

Thanks, but that does not read PT-region definitions just bext chunks.

Frank.

I think Soundgrinder's Monkey Tools can read PT region names. Not sure if it can batch copy the names into the bext chunk, though. Might be worth checking out.

All the best

Not sure about this specific request but take a look at WaveAgent from Sound Devices.

Great piece of software and a wonderful price… FREE.

Hope this helps.
