8 Mic Ins, 8 Line Ins and 8 Line Outs on Tdif for 1000$.
And sounds good: Soundcraft Spirit Pre
I have 6 of it and always be surprised how good it sounds compared to Pres which costs a lot more.

Cheers Wolfgang

In addition to our rack of APIs, the True Systems Precision 8 has worked out very well. It works out to $300/channel and sounds great.

I'm now a fan of the octopre..

Bought two of them..

I've even used the comp/limiter on some voice over stuff ( It IS more than a limiter ) but still a limited use type of thing ( no att rel controll )
1 knob for thresh and ratio..

clean & detailed.
the converters are unexpectedly good.

not what I would consider TOP NOTCH.

but, VERY nice for the price.

Had one Octopre for 6 months now.
Works great on everything.

Just a suggestion. You don't have to zip an mp3 file. It doesn't make it any smaller and it just adds a level of confusion to a simple download.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">Oh, because I am not sure which guitar style is better for such tests; each style have 8 different sounds for comparison (ie. A to H) and if I were to list them all here, there would be 48 different files to choose. So I grouped them into the different styles and different guitar strings.

Do let me know which ones you picked out.

Thanks and Regards,
[Charles]

Hey, the HHB sounds intriguing, but I can't find a 4-channel HHB Radius mic pre. There was a TL Audio 4-channel pre on the HHB US website. Is that it? Anyone got a link or something...?

Thanks - Steve
