Default auto back up problem with long song titles

Hi,

Didn't notice till too late that my current session that has a long song title was not backing up the different session versions! because when bak was added to the title, it would overite the version number, all the session versions looked the same to the back up and it kept overwriting the past versions!

I always put the version number at the start of the file name - your post being one of the reasons.

Check the modification dates. Session-Backup should only overwrite the last in succession.

Hi,

What happened was, i kept saving the song over 2 days and only changing the number at the end! (songtitle 1/songtitle 2/ etc, after 2 days and when i'm at songtitle 25, i go to back-ups and notice i only have 10 backups for the whole 2 days. during the back up process, ".bak" is added to the song tile and as the title was to long, every time .bak was added it removed the sequential number and all previous versions from version 1 to version 24 have been over written.

I wanted to go back to a version 24 back-up? but it was over written by all version 25 back-ups!

Never had a song title that long before? so it was never an issue, now i'm fully aware.
