Default QUESTION - Pre-Insert Mute ?

Hi Folks,

Maybe someone has already found out. Is it possible to Mute Pre-Insert ?
Normal and Standard ist Pre-Send (for post-send AuxSends ofc)

Way around would be to create another Sub-Master but pre-Insert Mute i would prefer in that case....

Ideas?

Thanks,
René

Mute is always pre-insert. Are you confused with pre and post sends? Because if you lower the fader to infinity pre sends are not affected.

But pressing mute is muting track before first insert.

For me, the question doesn't make sense. What is the goal?

Pre-fader sends continue to pass signal when the track's output mute is muted.

Also, when the track's output is muted, I still see signal in the plugins and those plugins affect signal to the prefader send.

So the track's output mute is definitely not pre-insert. Are you referring to a different mute?

Mute is post insert.

Hi,

i refer to Track-Output-Mute (like on Audio or Aux Channels)

Its position in the Signal Path is Post Insert but Pre-Send. (Exept Send is Pre-Fader/Mute) like Scott mentioned.

The Goal is to Mute PlugIns like "Source Nexus" which send Audio as Insert.
I guess its a matter of the HDX/Native Architecture ?

Thanks,
René

I usually use Source Connect (not as familiar with Nexus) as an insert on an Aux return, and use sends to direct audio into it. I usually do this because I need to send more than one thing into Source Connect (e.g. local talent mic, talkback mic, music underscore, etc.). That way if I need to stop audio going to Source Connect, I just mute the send on the source track.

I stand corrected. But I could swear plugins lose level by pressing mute Strange...

yeah. but you have to mute 3 or more sends and not just one. if there would be the possibillity to pre-mute you just hit the Aux Send Mute and its fine.

Seems that there is no lobby for that feature
