Default Avid Complete Plug-In Bundle 18.10 Mac (DMG) 1.55GB

Avid Complete Plug-In Bundle 18.10 Mac (DMG) 1.55GB

I just finished activating, downloading and installing my Pro Tools 2021.3.1 on my M1. Everything works fine via Rosetta. I have a iLok and I can't wait to do band rehearsal recordings on-the-fly.

I use a SSL 2 USB audio interface. The SSL 2 audio interface came with complementary plug-ins. When I installed some of the plug-ins it crashed my Pro Tools | First during its start-up. I do not want to go through removing plug-ins again if it crashes my Pro Tools 2021.3.1 with the Avid Complete Plug-In Bundle 18.10 Mac (DMG) 1.55GB.

Has anyone had success with the plug-in bundle from Pro Tools 2021.3.1 on M1?

Thanks

If i understand you right, the Question is, if the Avid Plugin Bundle work on Pro Tools 2021.3.1 (not the Pro Tools First Version !) on M1 Mac. On my Macbook Air M1 everything works fine with Pro Tools Full.

The Plug-in Bundle does not run on Pro Tools First, untill you buy it seperately. That is undependent from your machine M1 or Intel.

1. Third-Party plug-ins do not work on Pro Tools First. link
2. a Pro Tools First install alongside a full Pro Tools install on the same partition is a huge mistake.
3. Pro Tools First is the biggest piece of garbageware ever released by Avid. Just read the dedicated DUC forum for evidence. Don't use it.
4. You should remove every last item of both PTF and PT from your system: Apps, System-level, userprefs, etc, and then do a correct install of Pro Tools.

1. Absolotely not right. And in this case not the point. The question was about AVID Complete Plug in package - definitely no 3.party
2. Runs flawless on my last 2 Macs
3. The First Apps brought AVID a lot of new subscribers for the full versions. AVID has, since introduction 2015 i think, developed a lot to make Pro Tools First a in my opinion a great starter App. Why should companies like Mackie, Focusrite and others sell their products with a piece of crap. Why should 3 millions of friendly users use that?
4.That is the correct way to uninstall Pro Tools applications

Users of any kind of Pro Tools First Software don‘t have any other possibility to ask for help than here in our Pro Audio Forum. They don‘t get support from AVID. We should be proud to help them - other than to make maybe their first AVID Pro Tools (First) experience this way.

That is my opinion as a educator for Pro Tools, Pro Tools First, Logic, Cubase aso - by the way all installed on one small Macbook Air.

Peace and best from Germany

If you read beyond his thread title, he specifically states in his 3rd paragraph that he installed the SSL plugins.

What you all are missing is that there's NO version of PT that's ok'd for use on M1 Macs. Until then everyone is on their own and can expect weirdness.
