Default 11.3 CPU Spikes

I've been noticing random spikes in my CPU during playback. It can take up to 3 minutes for the spike to occur, and once it happens it stays hovering around 100%. It appears to be completely random, not plug in specific or anything. It also appears to only be hitting one core hard, while the other cores remain relatively low. Has anyone else experienced anything like this with the new 11.3 release? Forgive me if this has been covered, but I didn't see anything about this in relation to 11.3. I also use a UAD2 Satellite and Waves plug ins. I'm ready to try Logic at this point, sheesh.

2012 MacBook Pro
10.9.5 Mavericks
16 GB RAM
i7 Quad Core
PT 11.3.0

Just did an offline bounce using my Protools 11.3 HD rig and have had a this happen a few times now. Just did an new OS upgrade to Yosemite and 11.3 All I was doing was sending some mixes as offline bounces to a client by using offline bounce and it happened.. I just quite the program and launched again.. All good after that.. It happened one time yesterday too!. G
