From iBook G3 to iMac G4?
I want more power, but I can't afford a G5 and I don't want a used G4 (too much noise).
So - I was thinking of getting an iMac G4 1GHz, instead of my iBook (see below). How much more performance can I expect? I use softsynts, such as SampleTank and Reason a lot, but otherwise mostly Digirack stuff. Thanx iBook G3 600Mhz 640Mb; Mbox PTLE 6.1.2 OSX 10.2.6 |

Re: From iBook G3 to iMac G4?
how was the ibook?
are you using pt 6? Running OSX? G4 power Macs are it! Economical yet powerful. The noise issue is not as bad as it seems. so instead of getting an imac which has limited upgrade options.. get the G4 powermac.. the Dp 1.25 in particular. it rocks! |
