PT Losing keyboard focus

Anyone experiencing anything like this?

Quite frequently, since installing 2022.4 when hitting the 'tab' key, pro tools will lose edit window keyboard focus. The icon still shows that keyboard focus is on for the edit window, but none of the shortcuts work.

When I toggle it off and on via the keyboard command or icon, it restores the functionality, until it triggers again.

I initially though it was an issue with a keyboard maestro macro, or a custom hotkey i had set up, but it occurs with the keyboard maestro engine closed, and the default keyboard shortcuts.

A Pro Tools restart seems to clear it up for a while, but it's been coming back quite a bit the last few weeks.

If you are using dual screens this can be an issue. Assuming the mix window is selected, then edit window command focus instructions will be ignored.

I’m well aware that if I click on another window, I won’t be able to input commands into another. This is related to the “az” keybaord focus commands in the edit window, not general window focus.

Just trying to help. The point was it is hard to see which window is on top when you have the edit window on one screen and the mix window on the other. My a-z becomes inactive on the window in the background.

Yes I have this exact problem but I don't know what triggers it. I have not tried 2022.5 yet.

I have the same problem for years…
Although I'm using keyboard focus for groups only. It's annoying!

Still happening to me on 2022.5. Might roll back to 2021.7 but i've gotten used to the global search, and custom key commands, so I'd love to figure it out. It happened to me again yesterday and I saved a log, and I also noticed that when the issue happened, the keyboard shortcuts for toggling keyboard focus didn't work.
