Can't type in "Comments" in PT 2022.10

Anyone else having an issue with not being able to type anything directly in the track Comments area?

I used to just type right there, next to the trk title. Now it seems that I have to click on the track title, then type my comment below it, to work.

I just installed Melodyn Studio 5 but I never noticed a problem prior to this. I can't see the connection between the two and this issue.

Okay.... so I am not the only one and... how long has this bug been this way and not dealt with??? Wha??

It works in the MIX window but not in the EDIT window. The issue is known and documented, but I can't figure out why its taking so long to fix

comments working just fine in both Mix + Edit windows here on Pro Tools 2022.10 running on macOS 10.15.7.

is this a Windows only bug?

Yes, and also you don't have to go to the mix window, you can stay and edit mode but just click on the track title, and when it opens up you can add your comment then and it will take it. Thanks

Not sure but of what I've seen from other posts, I would say yes, I'm running on Windows 10 Pro. But I've even seen comments from Windows 11 users as well. What possibly can be the reason why they cannot fix this bug?? I've read posts that it goes back years. I don't think I had that problem over the last few versions but it has now popped up in 2022.10 .
