Default PT files won't open on main audio ext. HD but will on another ext. HD

Can anyone help?

I have a six TB external hard drive with all my Pro Tools .ptf files along with other types of files. The name of the drive is "Mini Stack Max."

When I try to open the .ptf files from this drive the Pop up
reads: "Mini Stack Max" is not an audio playback volume.

In the past I could open my .ptf files from this drive.

Here's the thing:
I can copy those .ptf files onto another external drive and open the files in Pro Tools.

All other types of files do open on the "Mini Stack Max" drive.

Please explain with detailed click by click instructions how to revive my Mini Stack Max drive so that the Pro Tools .ptf files open.

Thank you,
