USB Audio Driver killing off my Mbox
Running PTLE 8.0.4 on : i7, 12GB RAM, Win7, 64 bit.
I got myself one of those USB turntables and finally got it working. I installed the "Ploytec USB Asio Driver 2.8.40" for Win7 x64. The turntable worked, and I sampled a record, which I thought was great .. but the victory was short lived. I opened up Pro Tools to start messing with the sample, and even though my Mbox2 was connected, lights on, Pro Tools could not "locate digidesign hardware" Obviously the USB Asio Driver has created a conflict, because nothing had changed and Pro Tools opened fine before I installed the driver. I managed to open up the Control Panel for the new USB Asio Driver using Reason. My Mbox was being recognized by the driver .. I tried everything I could, including pointing the driver to the USB turntable for Input/Output, but nothing would allow Pro Tools to recognize my Mbox again. Wondering if anyone has had experience with this driver, or this sort of thing? I need a USB Audio driver to get audio from the turntable, but I obviously also need to run Pro Tools. Any ideas? |
