Default S1 and showing fader groups

Good morning fellow PT’lers.
I can’t figure it out and I can’t imagine that it’s not possible. My template arrangement is setup in such a way that I have fader groups and if I click on a group, I mean if I right click on a group and say “show only faders in group” it only shows those faders. If there a way to do that without having to take the trackball in my hand? To do it from the S1? I find out that I can do it with “layouts” and I guess once the Lay-outs are set up it’s a workable workaround but still. There is a group button on the S1 in combination with shift, so I guess it must be possible. I just can’t figure out what the shift-group do, other than show me the group name in which that fader(s) are in.

The feature you are looking for is called VCA spill. Sounds like you already have your groups created, all you have to do is create VCA tracks and assign them to those groups.

To spill a VCA, double tap the SEL button on that VCA.

In Eucon 20.11 you can also Spill Folder Tracks in the same manner as VCAs. So you can leverage either one that fits your workflow.

I thought it would kinda be the same as it was on the D Command. There was a button called groups and on the displays were 6 groups listed (you could Bank for more) then you press the group you want and all was good.

As others have said you need a VCA assigned to the group. Then either double tap the Sel button on the VCA or better still use a tablet on the tracks page and you can quickly tap any VCA(group) and spill those tracks. Its very quick.
