How to import a Gen.Midi file into PT?
I'm on a Mac. I need to import a GM sequence from a 3.5" floppy disc. I've got a USB floppy reader.
I insert the disc, and it reads "DOS..This disc unreadable by this computer" ... how can I convert this to something the Mac & PT will recognize? Thanks to yoose in the know, 'OL 88' |

Re: How to import a Gen.Midi file into PT?
2 discs in question:
One contains sequences done on an Ensoniq TS10 keyboard and the other is a General Midi disc manufactured by a company named "TUNE 1000" gen. midi hits. Both are deemed unreadable by the Mac and show it's a DOS format. Thanks for any answers on this, 'OL 88' |

Re: How to import a Gen.Midi file into PT?
The TS10 first.
Try formating the disk in the Mac as a dos disk then put it in T TS10 and see if you can save the sequence to disk. If the "TUNE 1000" disk is in fact a dos disk but the Mac is still not happy with it, then it may be faulty. Try it in another computer and see if you can copy the disk. |
